From time to time I publish the details of a project which I am tinkering with.
The Practical Cybersecurity Project
The Practical Cybersecurity Project is a resource for people who are looking simple, easy-to-follow cybersecurity advice.
The aim of the Project is to help people understand what threats they face, and what they can do to mitigate these risks. We will also provide free or highly discounted hosting to academics who are looking for simple sites.
GDPR Pseudonymization Tool
This is a simple online tool that allows you to store personal data that has been pseudo anonymized via a one-way hash. By including other privileged but non-personal data in the search function, you are able to confirm if a given example personal data is present in the database or not.
This was developed for a charity who wanted to be able to maintain a record of interactions with third parties but not allow anyone to store personal data within the database.
